Map Of Pool

  • I have attached a copy of the pool layout so you can see where to set up. The red Xs are noting off-limits areas and where to not set-up at the meet. The yellow area is where our team is to set-up for the meet. The two green stars are where the two entrances into the pool area are.
  • There is a playground outside of the pool area, please talk with your swimmer that they may not leave the pool area until they are finished with all of their events before they can play on the playground.
  • The diving board and wading pool are always off-limits.

    Volunteer Information:
  • If you are scheduled to volunteer at this meet, you will receive a confirmation/reminder email prior to the meet with your needed arrival time, check-in information and important details regarding your role. If you have any questions, please contact either Selene Malek and/or Joy Bastawrous.
  • Job sign-ups will close at 11:30pm tonight, and there are plenty of jobs still available. After today, you are responsible for finding your own replacement should you wish to make changes.
  • Timer’s meeting and Judge’s meeting will be called at 7:45am. They will announce where to go for the meetings.

Swim Meet Information:

  • Team warm-ups will begin at 7:30 am. Please plan on arriving at 7:00am to have your swimmers ready to get in the water promptly at 7:30am.
  • Swimmers should proceed directly to their Ready Bench (Look for our yellow tents) before warm-ups to be checked in. If your child is not there by 7:30am, they will be pulled from any relays they were scheduled to swim. Please note that failing to show for Relays can result in 3 other swimmers who showed up on time not being allowed to swim and your child being pulled from relays for future meets. Please be considerate of others.
  • Swimmers must wear their team suits. Plain black, one-piece swimsuit.
  • The official meet will begin at 8:00am. The ending time will vary based on many factors, and some swimmers may be finished earlier than others. Your Ready Bench parents can let you know what event your swimmer’s final event for the day will be. Do not leave without knowing that your child is finished swimming and that the Ready Bench parent knows you are taking them.
  • The meet begins with freestyle relays, freestyle, and then backstroke. All swimmers in all age groups will compete in freestyle and backstroke. 6&U's do not swim any events following backstroke. We are limited to fewer heats for IMs, breaststroke, and butterfly. The meet concludes with the Medley Relay.
  • You can follow along with which event and heat we are currently on through the “SwimTopia” app

  • The pool's parking lot will be reserved for the following: Coaches and Board Members.
  • Street parking is where you are to park, and please limit it to one side of the road. Please be considerate of the homes you will be parking in front of, and do not block any of the driveways. Also, be mindful of the “No Parking” signs.

  • They will have concessions for sale, CASH AND ZELLE ONLY. Some of the items they will have are:
    • donuts, coffee, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hotdogs, nachos (regular and chili cheese), chili dogs, chips, cookies, ring pops, and airheads.

What to bring:

  • towels, goggles, swim cap (wear team suit and shirt, which will be handed out this Friday) having backups is a good idea.
  • folding chairs, for both your swimmers and spectators. All of the pool seating is utilized for set-up and volunteers
  • pop up tents or canopies for shade if you have one.
  • water and snacks (food will be available for sale)
  • sunscreen and mosquito spray
  • books/tablets, quiet games, or coloring books to keep your swimmer entertained between events

Swim Team Conduct

Parents, please speak to your swimmers before the meet regarding behavior. We expect all swimmers to be respectful of all adult volunteers, coaches, and other swimmers. Swimmers are expected to always stay at their ready bench and be responsible for their own trash and clean up the area we are in.

With this being our first official meet of the season, we will have many new swimmers and volunteer families just learning their way around a meet. Thank you in advance to our returning families for helping to show them the ropes and to our new families for jumping right in and giving it your all!

Go Pirates! Arrrggh!
